The dining room tables are in place.  Aren't they stunning!  Hand crafted by Cliff himself, he's done an amazing job. Yes, there are two individual tables, but they are set end to end.  This was done rather than one long table due to the fact that as one table we would not have been able to get it in the house. Country Cottage Update

Here is a quick update on the progress of the Country Cottage.
Custom oak dining room tables are done and will be set into place in the next day or two. The new washer and dryer are to be delivered tomorrow. The washer and dryer is for guests to use if needed. Our other lodges and cabins are booked out for weeks at a time for family or group vacations and we are expecting that the Country Cottage will be used in the same way.
The custom beds will be installed in November which will increase our lodging compacity to 20 guests. The Cottage has 4 bedrooms each with their own private bathroom; the main floor suite has a queen size bed and will have two custom "twin" size beds; the loft room will have two queen size beds and two custom "twin" size beds.
The Country Cottage also features a custom catering kitchen complete with mixer, food proscessor, propane stove with double ovens and 6 burners, pots and pans, flatware, glassware, and dishes. The custom kitchen recently received a fresh coat of paint on the custom cabinets.
The sod is looking good and appears to be healing in just fine; the lawn looks great! The brick work around the pool and waterfall looks good; unfortunately the weather has changed and has dropped to moderate temperatures (mid to low 60's).

Featherwinds has become very popular for Leavenworth Destination Weddings offering Wedding and Event Coordinators, catering, floral, reception and wedding venue, and lodging.
Featherwinds has been coordinating, designing, setting up and hosting weddings for over twenty years.
We can lodge up to 70 guests on site and can arrange lodging for over 60 additional guests and host weddings and events up to 125 guests. Our newest facility was build 7 years ago with hosting weddings in mind.
From late spring through late fall, we have the capabilities of hosting outside weddings. Our wedding gazebo is surrounded by nature including a waterfall, vine maples, lush green grass and old growth evergreens. Photo ops are abundant! Host your rehearsal dinner at out Country Cottage Lodge capable of lodging up to 20 guests. The Country Cottage Lodge features a swimming pool (open June through Sept.), outdoor hot tub, catering kitchen, 4 bedrooms each with private bathroom and much more.
Our wedding packages include wedding and event coordinators, linens, tables and chairs, set up and clean up, and use of our 2,000 plus sq. ft. Sunroom (our reception room). We are now taking bookings for our Featherwinds Country Cottage Vacation Rental Lodge. This fully furnished 3,000 sq. ft. vacation home will be ready for gatherings up to 20 guests starting Dec. 1st. 2010. The Country Cottage features four bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom; large catering kitchen, outdoor hot tub and custom swimming pool open from June through Sept. (weather permitting).
Christmas weekend is still available at this time, however it may not be available for long. All lodging during the Christmas weekend and Lighting Festival weekends are reserved quickly and at this time we only have limited accommodations available. If you are planning a winter vacation, book now!

Leavenworth Christmas Lighting Festival Lodging

We have seen an increase in bookings for the Leavenworth Bavarian Christmas Lighting Festival and Celebration weekends. Not only our Bed and Breakfasts but also our cabins, lodges and vacation rental homes. The Annual Lighting Festival is always a fun filled celebration to attend. If you are going to visit Leavenworth this December, you need to consider booking now. It won't be long and there will be no available lodging in Leavenworth or the general local area. Soon, the only lodging available will be all the way in Wenatchee.

Country Cottage Update

Just a quick update on our Country Cottage remodel for Leavenworth Lodging:

1. Ground is prepared and sod will be delivered and installed on Tuesday, Sept. 7th.
2. Sprinkler system is installed and brick work around pool is complete.
3. Started building new tables for dining room, tables will accommodate 16 people for dining with addition eatting area at the kitchen bar.
4. Designing room layouts, planning for extra beds and furniture.

We are getting closer and beginning to see the light! Currently, we are ahead of schedule and may open the Country Cottage earlier than planned.

Featherwinds Country Cottage Vacation Rental Lodge

We are now taking bookings for our Country Cottage Vacation Rental Lodge which was once our original Bed and Breakfast that was the start of the Featherwinds Lodging Facilities. The Country Cottage features four bedrooms each with their own private bathroom. The Country Cottage can sleep up to 20 guests with the use of common area sleeping and roll away beds.
The Cottage features a large backyard with a custom swimming pool and outdoor hot tub that features an easy lift cover.
The Country Cottage is over 3,000 sq. ft. with a large backyard surrounded by a five foot high privacy fence to help make your group gathering a private getaway.
