It is that time of year again! The Bavarian Town of Leavenworth, Washington will be celebrating the Holiday Season starting November 24th.
November 24 – 26: Leavenworth will be hosting the 11th Annual Christkindlmarkt.
Christkindlmarkt is a German style Holiday market. The Christmas Market features vendor booths, activities for the kids, writing letters to Santa and lantern decorating. There will also be a Lantern Parade (the first of many holiday parades).
As the holiday season begins in this Bavarian Village, the town will be lit with thousands of twinkling lights.
After the evening celebration, come to Featherwinds Lodging for a relaxing, romantic stay.

Featherwinds has recently installed coffee makers in all of our rooms at the Bed and Breakfast. In-room coffee pots are stocked with coffee and tea for your morning wake up. Serve yourself and your guest coffee in bed and enjoy a peaceful, relaxing, tranquil morning.
However, remember, a full, hot breakfast served in our dining room at 8:30 sharp.
In the evening, we serve dessert from 8:30pm to 9:00pm. Enjoy a late evening dip in the hot tub. Relax and rejuvenate in the heated water and massaging bubbles as you gaze up at the stars on a clear night.
Retreat to your room and climb into a queen size old fashion feather bed. We are sure you will enjoy your stay at Featherwinds Bed and Breakfast.

Featherwinds Lodging, the Deer
The staff at Featherwinds and our guests has had the amazing privilege to watch a white-spotted, skinny, long legged, big-eared creature grow into a graceful, magnificent deer.
This year a doe and her fawn came in the early mornings and late evenings to graze in our open fields, nibble away our inpatients and top off our tomato plants. During the fall, they have enjoyed a tasty treat eating the apples off our trees.
It has been a special treat for many of our guests, several who have never seen a deer in the wild. Our guests from all over the world have been able to sit and watch the beautiful doe and her fawn.
Always on alert, but never showing a care, the doe and her baby, made their home here at Featherwinds. At times, they would step cautiously, but mostly the deer went about their breakfast and evening dessert, knowing they had found a safe haven here at Featherwinds.
As the fawn grew, her shaky legs more sturdy, she would often play tag with our 5-month-old kitten. Seeing the fawn interact with the kitten was sure to bring a smile, if not a chuckle from all who watched.

When completed, our wedding gazebo will feature a wedding bell, to ring in the newlyweds, decorative lighting and picturesque backdrop of evergreens, grape vines and flowers.
We are very excited and looking forward to the completion of our new wedding gazebo. As soon as the gazebo is complete, we will have pictures posted to our website.
Along with our new gazebo, we are also creating more areas for photo backdrops.

As the month of October ends, it is time to hike your last ridge or scale that rock before the snow starts to settle in. The fish are biting, the mosquitoes are not, with a chance of drizzle, settle down in front of a warm fire at Featherwinds.

All the rooms at Featherwinds Inn, feature in-room jetted tub and electric heat fireplaces. Our two Sunrise Suites also feature a non-alcohol mini-bar and snack bar.
Featherwinds B & B main floor suite features a master bath for two, with a jetted tub and his & her sinks. The Main Floor suite also features an electric heat fireplace and queen size feather bed.
The Loft Room at Featherwinds B & B features a private balcony over looking the Bed and Breakfast’s backyard with a hot tub and in-ground, custom swimming pool with a waterfall.
Both the Main Floor Suite and Loft Room also feature a non-alcohol mini-bar and snack bar.*
